Hi there – My name is Artie! I am a 2-year-old Pug (pug mix) and I am now one happy guy. I came into the rescue after being hit by a car, then sat in a shelter. My vet was awesome! He fixed my broken leg and watched me closely. My foster mom helped me get past the sadness, pain, and scaredness. I am now happy with life and ready for a new home! I am very active, love playing with other dogs my size or a bit bigger; love toys; my chewbones, and my number one ball my foster mom gave to me. Initially I am shy and a little scared, but with patience I warm up. I am learning not to be afraid when approached or getting big snuggles, and leashes. I love snuggling and those scratches behind the ears. Car rides are okay, especially in a big dog seat where I can see out and watch things. Because of my goofyness and playfulness I’d do good with an active person or family (with older children) who love to help me continue training and enjoying life. I’ve not been around cats. I am housebroken, crate trained (and it is my safe place), up-to-date on vaccinations, neutered and microchipped.
