Everyone loves sweet Poe! He is big and small dog friendly, loves love, gives kisses and will bring so much joy to your heart. He knows sit, likes to play, enjoys a little dip in the water and is ready to for a loving family.

Poe is approximately 2 years old, neutered, up to date on vaccinations and preventatives and comes with a registered microchip.

Poe was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas, where he was in line to be euthanized because he came in with a gunshot wound that fractured his leg and he needed more care than the shelter could provide. He is scheduled for a follow up x-ray next week, but is doing tremendously well and ready to find his furever family.

OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN TEXAS BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information.

Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Raising The Bar Animal rescue direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).

Our out of state adoption fee is $300 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all age appropriate vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip and neuter. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days of departure.
