| Introducing Anfisa!! This is a beautiful and friendly 3 year old ginger female Persian available for adoption! She too is one of many (there are now over 200) who is part of our international cat rescue mission! She has a sad story too, but she is a lucky girl who is now safe in rescue and is ready for adoption here in the USA (NYC area)! Anfisa was rescued by our partners in Cairo Egypt when she was found in a food store parking lot begging for food, and living off garbage to survive. Thankfully our rescue partners found her just in time and was able to get her off the streets, help her to get healthy and ready for adoption! Anfisa is a very sweet girl with an easy going personality who loves affection (as you can see by her video) she can go to any home as she is good with all! She LOVES people, cats and dogs! She too shares her foster home with many other rescue cats and a little dog too (this is how we socialize the cats with dogs) Like all of our cats, Anfisa is spayed and vaccinated (rabies and distemper), blood tested negative for feline viral infections; FIV/FLeV, microchipped and treated for fleas/ticks/dewormed. All adoption applications are submitted online; https://savingfancycats.org/adoption-application We read every application that is submitted and it can take us 2-4 days to respond to most applicants. If we believe you may be a potential match for the cat(s) we will respond to you via email. This email will detail all the next steps required in order for you to be officially approved as an adopter. Our email can easily be flagged as spam/junk so please check those folders for our response. We will ask all potential adopters who pass the first step to submit/complete the following; -2+ personal references -1+ veterinary reference -home interior photos/videos -your pet policy from the apartment management or landlord (if you rent) -1+ alternative caretaker(s) identified for the cat -schedule a phone interview with a member of our team *General inquiries about any cat cannot be responded to without an application submitted first. If the cat is on petfinder.com the cat is still available. Adoption fee is non-negotiable. What your (tax deductible) adoption fee/donation covers: Spay/Neuter surgery Full vaccinations (2 x distemper/FVRCP and feline rabies) Blood Tests - FIV, FLeV, Heartworm, in some cases additional blood work Anti-Parasitics - all cats are dewormed, treated for fleas/ticks, ear mites. Microchipped - All cats have a registered microchip Travel Passes/Fees- the adoption fee also pays for the cat's travel *Please keep in mind that a majority of the cats for adoption from the Middle East were found in terrible health condition, some requiring extensive veterinary care and/or surgery. We do not increase the adoption fee despite the additional funds used to rehabilitate these cats. **Can't adopt right now?
